Wine Valley Inn Solvang, Solvang

Staying at this hotel was like discovering a hidden gem round the back, with rooms that are always a little unexpected, boasting quirky touches and repurposed furniture on the first floor. The service was top-notch, except for some 'attitude,' but Jennifer at breakfast in the dining room was a standout. The location is perfect for a Danish village experience away from the center of town, yet still close to downtown. Despite the simple dining options, the rooms and service made up for it, offering a comfortable and welcoming stay.

I stayed at the hotel and found the rooms to be clean and comfortable, but I felt they were a bit overpriced for what we got. The service was a mix; some staff were stressed, but others were kind and even moved us to a better floor. The location was excellent, just a few steps away from everything in Solvang, although it was slightly off the main street. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with the complimentary options being fine but not exceptional. Overall, the hotel offered a decent stay with some room for improvement.

The hotel has a lot of meaning behind it for us and something that we look forward to every time we are down in Solvang. The rooms were a lot darker and not as modern as the picture suggested but overall good. The service was amazing, and I absolutely loved the location because it's walking distance to all the shops. The dining was adequate and plentiful. The hotel's location is superb, reflecting the town vibe in the hotel buildings, warm room in the winter, and good breakfast. The pool area has speed of check-in and is in the center of the town.
